&

BY: TAIMOOR SYED

Once upon a time, there were two families. The Montagues and the Capulets. The two families had a brawl and couldn' t stand each other.

Romeo was in love with a girl named Rosaline, but his friend Benvolio advises him to find seek someone else.

That night the Capulet family held a masked ball to try and get their daughter Juliet to meet a relative of the prince named Paris.

Romeo and Benvolio go to the ball that night and Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight, but at the end of the night the two realize they belong to the two rival families. On Romeo's way home from the feast he climbs into Capulet's orchard to get one last look at Juliet. Juliet appeared at her balcony, they exchange vows of love and they agree to get married the next day.

Romeo and Juliet get married the next afternoon by Friar Laurence. Meanwhile, Juliet's cousin Tybalt sends Romeo a challenge to a duel, but Romeo refuses to fight because they're now part of the same family. Mercutio, Romeo's impatient friend accepts the duel and is killed by Tybalt. Romeo kills Tybalt and flees.

The Prince Banishes Romeo for killing Tybalt. Romeo and Juliet celebrate their wedding the night before he leaves at dawn for Mantua.

That morning Juliet finds out that her father arranged for her to marry Paris on Thursday. Juliet gets a sleeping potion from Friar Laurence that will make her appear dead for 42 hours. Friar will send a message to Romeo so he can return to Verona in time for Juliet to wake.

Juliet takes the potion early because the marriage is moved to Wednesday so the message must be delivered to Romeo quicker.

The message of Juliet passing away reaches Romeo before Friar's message and Romeo goes to get poison. He goes to the Capulet tomb later that night. He fights Paris and kills him. Unaware of the fact that Juliet is not actually dead Romeo takes the poison and dies. Friar arrives as Juliet is waking up and tells her to go with him but she refuses and stabs herself with Romeo's dagger.

As dawn breaks, the watch arrives, closely followed by the Prince, who demands to be told everything that has happened . The two families then arrive, Friar explains what happens and the death of Romeo and Juliet brings the feud of the families to an end.
