Menstruation is defined by Webster as a discharging of blood, secretions, and tissue debris from the uterus that recurs in non-pregnant breeding-age primate females at approximately monthly intervals and that is considered to represent a readjustment of the uterus to the non-pregnant state following proliferate changes accompanying the preceding ovulation.
I think that being a man and never have experienced it first hand. I think menstruation is a beautiful life processes, which tells a person that they may become pregnant and bare children. I also feel that it is an inconvenience but most men can understand and live with. Menstruation happens in women once a month and the call it getting their period.
In medieval and sometimes present day there are many wives tail or miss conception about women getting their period. A couple of wives tail that I have heard about menstruation are one That a women can not make homemade tomato sauce if she is menstruating because it will sour the sauce. Or if a women has her period she can put a strong spell on you and give you bad luck. There were a lot of these wives tales because people did not understand why women would menstruate and they were scared and they made up these dumb miss conceptions.
