Faustus could probably repent. Every time the good and evil angels appear, the good angel begs Faustus to repent. The angels could represent his conscious within him debating his delima and showing us that despite his actions he is only human. The decisions he made in his life were only made on emotions and thoughts that every human feels, because that is the way God made humans. Fausr the angels appear, Mephastophilis or Lucifer appears and tries to entice Faustus more. They probably did so in fear that he would repent, because they too knew that he could be saved.
